My apologies if I seem to be under performing in these logs. It was my first time actually doing the bosses and my gear is not the best there is. But they are all heroic.

No difference really, I do use Power Auras for a couple of things that wont show because I have them active. I get alerted when Searing Totem and Lightning Shield aren't active.

- Do your professions increase your performance in raids? Explain your choices. Yes, Jewelcrafting enables me to have a higher quality of gems that provide a stat increase. And Engineering allows me to have an agility cooldown that still equals out to having any other stat profession, I also obtain bombs, which do fire damage, with their damage increased with the Enhancement Mastery "Enhanced Elements".
- Do you have any raid-viable alts that you can play at a competitive level, should the need arise? If so, provide a link to their armory links here. Sadly, no. But I do have a couple I am working on. Playing as a casual, I really didn't see the need in having any alts. But leveling has become easy so obtaining a couple will be no issue.
- Is this your first main character? If not what did you used to play? When did you start playing WoW? Please provide detailed information (including armory links when applicable) about time spent on all your previous characters. No, I have been playing World of Warcraft ever since the Black Temple patch came out in TBC. I have played all the years leading up to Cataclysm as a Resto Druid and Prot/DPS Warrior. On Cataclysm release, I swapped my main to a Warrior (Both Prot and DPS). However, I no longer have access to this account. I was not planning on coming back to WoW so I sold my account. The Warrior I lost track of but my Resto Druid still has my name. Here is the armory link if interested.

- Paranoia(Illidan) - Left the guild as a raid leader to look more into hardcore raiding.

- Excessive Gaming(Illidan) - They were just bad, if any of you know Jaedann, you would know why.

- Raiding Rainbows(Illidan [CURRENT]) - Joined Raiding Rainbows in late ICC. Progressed with them during T11 content and then quit the game a couple weeks after Firelands was released. Came back to wow around late October early November to play with my friends as a casual. I have remained casual ever since and now looking for a new guild as RR does not have/want the need for an Enhancement Shaman.

- What end game raiding experience do you have? Be thorough. The more detail you can provide here, the better.

TBC - Full content clear POST 3.0
WotLK - Full content clear PRE 4.0
Cata - Full content clear with the exception of Heroic Ragnaros

During TBC, I was a casual raider. Nothing big or important during that time. When WotLK was released, I started focusing a bit more on progression raiding, I wanted something new. It was during Ulduar when I joined the guild Paranoia and started rising up with guild rankings. On release of Cataclysm, I was in the guild Raiding Rainbows and we finished T11 raid progression at US 20th. Heroic Rag has been dodging me for quite some time. Every time I try to find a group they always say that they don't need an enhance shaman, or are looking for people with the Firelord title already. As for DS here I am now as a casual who got into a raid with RR and did a full clear on heroic.

- Please provide a quick summary of your "valuable" Stats (Healing, Attack Power, etc.) as you understand them for your class. As an Enhancement Shaman, my attack power is also my spell power. With mental quickness I gain 55% of my attack power (even with buffs and cooldowns) as spell power. Just like any other class, Enhancement Shamans require a hit cap, but unlike most, they require both Melee (Special Attacks Only) and Spell hit cap. Just like any other caster, they need to acquire 17% spell hit rating. As for expertise, 26/26 is the number you want to obtain, just enough to have your attacks to not be dodged by bosses. The typical stat priority is EXP Cap > Melee Hit Cap > Spell Hit Cap > Mastery > Crit > Haste. I am not listing Agility because it's pretty self explanatory.
- Do you have a raid-viable off-spec? Should the need arise, are you comfortable with playing your off-spec in a raid? No, I have never actually "Healed" a raid, I have the restoration offspec to help out friends in LFR so they have a quick queue and someone to roll on tokens/gear for them. But I am willing to learn.
- Which spec do you prefer? Are you willing to respec if it were asked of you? Are you willing to respec to the optimal spec for a progression boss? I prefer Enhancement as it is the spec that I have been playing since I came back to WoW. If the guild feels the need for me to be Restoration on a fight or two, I have no problem swapping to meet the requirements.
- How do you feel about sitting out for any given encounter should we not need you? It will happen. I have no problem with this. Let's face it, sometimes, some classes just don't do well on fights.
- Are you willing to test new content on the PTR or BETA when it becomes available? Of course, I am still leveling on the BETA but I will be ready very soon.

- What is your reason for applying? What makes us more appealing that any one of the thousands of other raiding guilds out there? Mostly being a Horde guild recruiting all classes. It seems most guilds either don't recruit them or are done with raiding all in all.

First off, I would just like to thank you for your time in reading my application. Even though I am a casual and my raid experience for this patch doesn't really meet the requirements of the guild, I believe it is safe for me to say that I am not new to the hardcore progression area. I do not believe that relevant content progress is what makes an individuals stand out amongst others, but what makes up the individuals themselves that sets them apart. I see personality being the best core value in any raider. That being said, you will find my personality to be one that seems to be on the line of an individual who knows what to say, how to say it, why it has to be said, and when it is appropriate to say it. I don't see any point of not being called out for anything. Like I said before, I will always call myself out if I catch myself doing something incorrect. It is just who I am. Once again, thank you for your time in reading my application. I hope to hear back really soon.

Oh boy, Enhancement app!

Enhancement always has been and, for the next expansion, will continue to be a big, button pushing clusterfuck. It's difficult to see if you're using the correct buttons at the correct time. That said, your numbers look pretty low. You did just get a few upgrades in your last raid, so that might help a bit, but there's something that stuck out in one of your logs and your app that is not gear-related. You mentioned having a power aura for Searing Totem, but your uptime on Searing Flames for Ultraxion, for example, is very low (49.5%). Can you recall any reason for that?

What do you think about Enhancement in MoP? You said that you aren't level 90 yet, but when you do get there, please answer the following questions (or now if you can):

What talents are you planning on taking in the 60, 75, and 90 tiers and why?
How has the Enhancement rotation/priority changed, if at all, from Cataclysm to MoP?
How have Enhancement's stat weights changed, if at all, from Cataclysm to MoP?

I'm asking these questions because, while your performance in current content is important, your ability to understand and adapt to change is much more important when we are preparing for another expansion. There is a big beta patch coming pretty soon with a good deal of class balance changes, so if you want to wait for that to reply, that's fine by me.

Thanks for the quick reply. I honestly have no idea what happened on Ultraxion on Sunday. Might have been a little rusty just not entirely sure, considering I really haven't even done normal raids for a month due to getting ready for the move. Should be no excuse though.

As for Mists of Pandaria talents.

60 Tier - I currently run Echo of Elements, it seems to proc a lot. It is really hard to determine which of the two, Echo of Elements and Elemental Mastery, since I haven't done any raids yet. But as far as I know Echo seems to be the choice even for Enhancement.

75 Tier - The way I see these talents (Healing Tide Totem, Ancestral Guidance, and Conductivity), it seems to me that these three will probably be cycled between depending on the fights.

90 Tier - Once again, stuck between two choices here, Unleashed Fury or Elemental Blast. The reason why Elemental Blast in a choice because of the changes to Maelstrom Weapon being all nature spells instead of a few select spells like Chain Lightning and Lightning Bolt. Unleashed Fury of course because as Enhance I use two weapon buffs, so not only will I have autoattacks triggering Static Shock, but also having a 25% bonus damage to lightning bolt. On the downside to Unleashed Fury is that I could have really bad RNG and not get a full Maelstrom Weapon proc.

I will have to fidget with it all to figure it out.



Rotation will seem to change depending on which talents are picked up, say Elemental Blast is the way to go, then all that would change is using that first then fight about 1 or 2 lightning bolts in between the next instant cast. Other then that I really see no change in it.

Update. It just occurred to me at work this morning. Searing Totem is really buggy and sometimes wont even attack said target, you have to drop it a couple more times for it to actually start attacking. That is probably what happened in most cases on fights. I should probably make a searing flames power aura also.

With that said, I now have a power aura for Searing Flames stacks.

EDIT: It seems to only start attacking when Flame Shock is on the target, not both Stormstrike and Flame Shock.

Sorry for the delay, I don't really know much about enhancement, so i'm sort of waiting on a time when palioh and i are both on to see what he thinks.

Get the tuesday logs, can't hurt, since i doubt at this point in the game potentially missing a week of dragonsoul with us matters much, and we'll go from there. I assume that's what he's waiting on as well.

I am halfway into 88, been slightly going between packing and working but I have a lot of free time this week. I also completely agree, missing a week of DS with you guys isn't a big deal so tuesday you will have logs for more bosses. However, pugs aren't usually all that great on Illidan, the best it would probably be is Heroic Morchok, Yor'sahj, and Ultraxion. I will try my best to get into a 6/8, but I can't make any promises since people usually don't run Enhancement Shamans.

I should probably ask. What server on the beta are you located on? Because I'm located on Lost Isles

Be sure you're using your Earth Elemental. It's not a lot of damage, but it's extra damage you're missing out on by not using it. It won't taunt bosses, but it may taunt adds, so use intelligently. I'm looking forward to this week's logs.

I died twice on Ultraxion, once because of me not shifting realms in time and the other because I didn't get Pain Suppression on my next phase of soaking, which was literally at 2%.


Also, I would've used Earth Elemental, but the dk rarely used Horn of Winter... Love Illidan pugs.
