- First Name: Mark
- Your Country / Time zone: USA, Eastern - Age: 24 - Do you have Ventrilo and working microphone? Yup - Are you able to handle mature (or immature) content on Ventrilo and in guild chat? I prefer it - Do you have the capacity to clearly communicate, yet have a knowledge of when it's appropriate to keep comments to yourself? I generally only speak when things are not serious, i thoroughly enjoy joking but as a military person i firmly believe in the idea of respect of rank, therefore i rarely speak up in vent and choose to handle any issues or ideas i might have with strats or other raiders through whispers to officers - Are you presently employed or a student. Will it interfere with your ability to raid? Will you be able to attend 99% of our raids? Do you have any other Real Life obligations which might prevent you from attending 99% of our raids? Will you, in the near future, have any obligations that will make you unable to raid? I shouldn't have any issues in the near future that will keep me from raiding other than a vacation in the summer - Do you have any PC or disconnect issues we should know about? Nope, generally between 50 and 150 ms and run at 45 or so FPS in raids - Are you able to handle harsh criticism? You can, and will, be subjected to harsh criticism and you will be called out when you do not perform. I work better under pressure - Class / Character Name: Shaman/Mcslime - Race: Orc - Professions: Alch/LW - Do your professions increase your performance in raids? Explain your choices: I chose my profession based upon which of the professions I did not have. Leatherworking was an easy choice at the time because the 50 int to bracers option was not available. - Total time played (/played) and Time played at 85: total - 17 days, at 85 - 15 days -Is this your first main character? If not what did you used to play? When did you start playing WoW? Please provide detailed information about time spent on all your previous characters. Tell us as much as you can, the more the better. Vanilla - i started playing very early in Vanilla, around the time MC was released. However, i did not start raiding until BWL was released. I was able to clear all content up to the first 6 bosses in naxx 40 on a rogue. BC - I played almost all of BC starting with Kara and Gruul and Mag and ending with Illidan. I stopped raiding due to school before SWP was released. I played a holy Priest for this expansion WotLK - I was the raid leader for Section Eight on Bonechewer. We were a fairly strong guild that cleared 6/12 heroic ICC with a US rank in the mid 60's at the time. We lost a good number of members after that week and were never able to recover. We finished with 12/12 heroic 10 ICC and 11/12 heroic 25 ICC. I played a rogue for this. Cata - My shaman is actually my second main this expansion, i played a prot pally for t11 and the beginning of t12 and switched to a resto/ele shaman for t13 because we lost ours. -Main Spec: (x/x/x) (include a link from http://www.wowhead.com if it differs from the spec you presently have on armory). If you have a relevant offspec for raiding, tell us about that as well. I have links to both of my main raiding specs because i tend to change specs a fair amount for different bosses and I'm not sure what spec you will see General Resto Spec: http://www.wowhead.com/talent#hhZbhZcGfMsdcosd - i chose to drop telluric currents for focused insight because it gives a great buff to healing rain and I typically have no issues on mana General Ele Spec: http://www.wowhead.com/talent#hhGMGRfkzGobhMZb - Pretty cookie cutter ele spec, I chose to get the reduced damage instead of totem range because taking less damage is never a bad thing -Armory Link: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/arch...cslime/advanced -What is your current guild? Girls Generation -What were the last 3 guilds you were in? What are the reasons for leaving your last and current guild? Tell us about your time in each and how active you were in each. Girls Generation - Officer quit after we killed Heroic Blackhorn (us 15th) but when the nerfs hit we all decided to simply finish out the content together and then go our seperate ways for MoP. I played prot pally for all of t11 and got server first on all bosses cleared 13/13. I took a back seat because i thought i would be leaving during the middle of t12, as it turns out i never went anywhere. When i came back to start raiding, we didn't need a tank but we did need a shaman so i leveled my shaman and starting raiding FL towards the end. I have cleared all of DS and got server first DW on my shaman. Section Eight - Guild broke up very early in t11 due to a lack of attendance. I cleared 11/12 heroic ICC with this guild in WotLK Level - I cleared all content up to Illidan in BC with this guild, i stopped raiding due to school before SWP was released and left for WotLK to play with real life friends - What end game raiding experience do you have? (This includes in vanilla WoW, TBC and WOTLK as well as Cata. be specific.) Be thorough. The more detail the better. I have cleared all content in Cata and WotLK and all but the very last bosses in both BC and Vanilla wow - Any special Achievements / Titles / Mounts you have earned in PvE you would like us to know about? I have gotten server first on all content in this expansion including Al'akir, Nef, and Sinestra - Link to WWS / WMO logs of recent raid(s) you have attended. http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/ug3rkk0...004&e=10883 That is a fairly old raid but it is the last one we did not have carries in for which tends to change things a bit. There is also a link to our general site, it does have alt raids and such in it though so you'll have to look at titles to find the main run, they are generally on tuesday though http://www.worldoflogs.com/guilds/103140/calendar/04-12/ - Provide a Quick Summary of your "Valuable" Stats (Healing, Attack Power, etc.) as you understand them for your class. As i understand raiding on a resto shaman in ten man, Haste is far less valuable than in 25 due to the fact that you will have far fewer Earthlivings and healing ticks running at any time. Therefore i have chosen to stop at the 916 haste cutoff for HoTs and use all mastery. This allows me to have relatively fast heals using riptide on CD while getting the largest heals possible. pretty much all gemming is straight int except where there is an intellect set bonus. In those cases use either int/spirit or int/mastery. Spirit is also an amazing stat as a resto druid due to the fact that I can drop a mana tide totem for the other healers in my raid. - Which major and prime glyphs do you currently use? Explain your choices I use Earthliving, Earth Shield, and Riptide glyphs. I have chosen these because they are really the only prime glyphs any resto shaman could use. The only other option is water shield however given the current gear levels, mana is typically not an issue. For major glyphs, I use healing stream for the 195 resist, stoneclaw for instance such as the bolt explosions on heroic deathwing or black phase during zonozz. a free 20k absorb is never a bad thing. The last glyph is Chain heal which i have chosen to get a better AoE heal possibility from Chain heal. I generally dont use Chain Heal to heal a tank, i use it to heal others i just bounce it off tanks to get the increased healing from ES. If i want to heal a tank i'll use a GHW which makes the reduced effectiveness of chain heal fairly meaningless - Do you have dualspec, and is your offspec something you could viably play in raids? I have used ele in raids as well - What spec do you prefer? Are you willing to respec if an emergency arises? Are you willing to respec to the optimal spec for a progression boss? I vastly prefer healing to Ele simply because i would consider it a more pivotal role. I have always found from past raiding experiences that a group of great healers allows you to drop a healer in favor of a DPS. That being said, i am more than happy to go ele for various bosses. I have no problems changing specs or even classes to get the optimal raid comp for a progression boss - How do you feel about sitting out for any given encounter if we do not need you? It will happen. I can't say i'm ever a huge fan of sitting for any encounter but I understand the neccesity to have an optimal raid comp and so I'm more than ok with it. - Are you willing to spend 400+ gold a night in repairs and consumables, stay focused and wipe for 4 hours straight, come back the next day and do it all over again until a new boss dies (even on "farm" content)? Sounds like a damn good time - What is your reason for applying? What makes us more appealing that any one of the thousands of other raiding guilds out there? I'm looking for a top 25 US guild, plain and simple and you guys fit that criteria. "Are you able to handle mature (or immature) content on Ventrilo and in guild chat?" i also love that this question is part of the app. - Who, if anyone, will vouch for your abilities in WWA? I don't believe i know anyone in WWA unless someone recognizes the name mcfatty as someone they used to raid with long ago. - Post a screenshot of your UI.(If you are having trouble, use the free image hosting resources of http://imgur.com) http://i.imgur.com/73bAQ.jpg - Last words: Show us what sets you apart from the rest of the candidates; what makes you better? What can you bring to WWA? What do you want us to know that wasn’t covered? Let us know why WE want YOU. This is your last chance to impress us, be thorough. Do not answer this question with one sentence. Once again, the more complete the answer, the better. You should want me simply because i have played all roles in the game and played them well. I am also happy to change roles or classes at any time to whatever best fits the raid. I have played for a long time, i understand the commitment required for serious end game raiding and i am willing to do the research and theory crafting before and after raids to find out how i can improve. I love WoL, i scour it often during progression to find out where i can improve and what other players are doing to get better parses than me. In short, I'm a long time WoW nerd, no denying it. |

![]() You should bind those. You don't have epic gems in some of your BiS gear either. I'd also like to see a screenshot of your UI while you're healing in a raid. |

I'm guessing by the lack of a response for the last week or so that you are not interested?
