A NOTE BEFORE YOU POST YOUR APP
This application is your first impression upon us. Please make a conscious effort to spell correctly, use coherent grammar and be complete. Half-assed answers that look like you spent less than 15 seconds on will only reflect poorly upon you. I have never understood why people who are trying to get into a guild would throw together a shitty, half-assed app that looks like shit and is riddled with spelling errors and typos. It takes 15-20 minutes, make a quality app to reflect the quality player you are. Title Format: [Character name][Class][Spec] - Armory Link (Please log out in your raiding gear): - Links to WOL/WWS/WMO logs of recent raids you have attended. You can, and will, be subjected to harsh criticism and you will be called out when you do not perform. - Do you partake in anything that would interfere with your ability to raid (i.e. school, work, etc.)? Explain your choices. - Do you have any raid-viable alts that you can play at a competitive level, should the need arise? Please provide detailed information (including armory links when applicable) about time spent on all your previous characters. - What were the last 3 guilds that you were in? What were your reasons for leaving each of these guilds? - What end game raiding experience do you have? Be thorough. The more detail you can provide here, the better. - Please provide a quick summary of your "valuable" Stats (Healing, Attack Power, etc.) as you understand them for your class. - Do you have a raid-viable off-spec? Should the need arise, are you comfortable with playing your off-spec in a raid? - Which spec do you prefer? Are you willing to respec if it were asked of you? Are you willing to respec to the optimal spec for a progression boss? - How do you feel about sitting out for any given encounter should we not need you? It will happen. - Are you willing to test new content on the PTR or BETA when it becomes available? - How did you hear about our guild? - What is your reason for applying? A NOTE BEFORE YOU POST YOUR APP This application is your first impression upon us. Please make a conscious effort to spell correctly, use coherent grammar and be complete. Title Format: [Character name][Class][Spec] - Armory Link (Please log out in your raiding gear): - Links to WWS / WMO logs of recent raids you have attended. Do not bother submitting this application if you can’t provide a link to any logs. - Post a screenshot of your UI in raid combat (www.imgur.com): - Post a screenshot of your UI out of combat: - First Name: Michael - Your Country / Time zone: USA, Eastern - Age:16 - Do you have Ventrilo and working microphone?Yes - Do you have the capacity to clearly communicate, yet have the ability to recognize when it's appropriate to keep comments to yourself? Yes - Are you able to handle mature (or immature) content on Ventrilo and in guild chat? Yes - Are you able to handle harsh criticism? You can, and will, be subjected to harsh criticism and you will be called out when you do not perform. Yes, Definetally, the criticism will help me become a better player. - Do you partake in anything that would interfere with your ability to raid (i.e. school, work, etc.)? Do you have any obligations in the foreseeable future that will affect your ability to raid?I have school, and am Part of an Acting Troupe, I might not be able to raid some nights, because of rehearsal or maybe even because of the actual show. - Do you have any PC or disconnect issues we should know about? There are a few thunderstorms in Florida now and again which might knock out my connection, But it doesnt happen often. - Do you have an authenticator attached to your account? No, Will be getting one in between this and next week. - Class / Character Name: Feral Druid Tank, Naturalife - Race:Worgen - Professions: Alchemy/Herbalism - Do your professions increase your performance in raids? Explain your choices. Alchemy and Herbalism, where the professions I chose not only because of the fact that flask will always be needed and used in raids, And Lifeblood is a nice little cooldown that, rarely if ever, but by some miracles sometimes saves my life, i.e when the healers have no mana, because some giant mana sphere sucked it out of them, or I am out of range, or out of LoS - Do you have any raid-viable alts that you can play at a competitive level, should the need arise? If so, provide a link to their armory links here. I have a pretty good hunter which I raid with every week, http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/area...rocter/advanced - Is this your first main character? If not what did you used to play? When did you start playing WoW? Please provide detailed information (including armory links when applicable) about time spent on all your previous characters. I started off with a hunter back in BC, During Kara times, I quit playing him a few months before WoTLK came out and Leveled a Paladin, On said Paladin http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/burn...usuper/advanced (Whom I barely play anymore) I joined a progression casual guild, And was kicked out of said guild about a year later, because I was being too mean, and I was getting angry and people because they didnt know the fights to current content which had been out for about 3months, I dont enjoy waiting around for people, I understand if you need to Learn the fights to bosses, as so do I but I didnt think that people should still be getting hit by charges or standing in the fire when we had been progressing through the raid instance for about 5Weeks. So after that I joined a guild that was actually worth a Damn and Progressed through all of ICC with them. Along the way I made a Deathknight, whom remains lvl 85 to this day, With Him I tanked and dps raids from Naxxramas to ICC, I remained in the same guild http://us.battle.net/wow/en/guild/lightbri...f_the_Alliance/ With most of my toons. Including my Druid, Rogue, Deathknight, Warrior, and Paladin. I had server Changed my Paladin and Warrior, Looking to find a better raiding guild for them, For I had lost my main raiding spot on said guild for taking a very long break from WoW once Cata had come out. I had missed the last few months of BWD,BoT and Throne, and ALL of Firelands progression. I made a rogue lvl'd him and got him set for Pvp which was my full intention for him, I barely play him. My warrior, got a bit geared when I could but I didnt pay much mind to him, Then Last But not least was my Warlock, Which Whom I raid with a bit, http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/burn...rmwood/advanced Thought -Though not so much because of a huge guild fall-out that we had because of foolish guild leaders who were too greedy for their own good. - What were the last 3 guilds that you were in? What were your reasons for leaving each of these guilds? 'Knights of the Alliance', I didnt have a raid spot. 'Hell' Greedy Guild Leader bastard, 'Divine' Same situation as 'Hell' with a cup of Guild Drama to ride along with it. - What end game raiding experience do you have? Be thorough. The more detail you can provide here, the better. Well, I raided all of WoTLK's raids when they were current, except for Ulduar, That which I made up when ToGC came out, I tanked, Healed and Dps'd Naxxramas, ToGC and ICC on my paladin and on my Deathknight, So I was very versatile with my classes specs and knew all the ins and outs of what to do and what not to do, to be the best that I could be. I quit most of Cataclysm and Came back when DS just released, I became part of a hardcore guild and with a bit of luck was already at 390 Ilvl gear, by the first month, From about 357 which was my Ilvl when I quit, on my paladin. Guild drama then caused a huge fall-out in the Guild which I had not expected at all, Then I was like, hmm, I feel like listening to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dd-acqKRvso so I went on to make a warlock. Lvled him up and got him to 380 Ilvl and about 2weeks, At that moment, I tried to raid with him, but one day I went to check his DPS and was only doing 20k, and I kept looking to see what was wrong so I asked questions in trade (like a fool) As I had other toons to deal with, I was frustrated with him, and went >.< screw it. I geared out my druid for Healing, he was almost 390 in a couple weeks, so I got bored with casual raiding and went back to my warlock, put my serious boots on, and did some serious investigating, Took me about 2-3days of reading but it was worth it, When I got back, I was the bomb diggity, All that research made it worth it, I was doing 30K, ON A DUMMY! 55K+ On Madness Reg, and I felt good, So I joined a nice little somewhat casual guild, filled with good players. and Went, and started clearing DS, Every week. I was always top dps, But then, When we got to Heroics, God They were bad, and I really liked these guys so I didnt know what to do >.< Well, i stayed with em, and finally left, when the guild leader ended up being the greediest, dumbest SoB I had ever met. There I went on to my druid, Got his feral set nice and geared and became a Bear, Now I loved bear tanking the moment I got into it, And Now he is what people would call my "Main" and im looking for a Hardcore raiding guild. - Please provide a quick summary of your "valuable" Stats (Healing, Attack Power, etc.) as you understand them for your class. My valuable stats for a Bear Tank, Would be Dodge, For Dodging attacks my Main Stat other then Agility., Stam, which would be completely stupid to stack, with gems and Stuff, I would never go straight stam, I would rather be David then Goliath, David Little guy(My HP) Still took on giants(Dmg) Like a Wall, Never Faltering, Yet there was Goliath HUGE Guy (People who stack stams HP) Who took on a human, (Mobs/Boss) and Got toppled, Why?! Cuzz yea he had a huge health pool, but his defense was crap!Bears will get all the Stam they will need from gear, Maybe grab a gem with split stats every once in a while but thats it, Then Mastery, I love this guy, That Savage defense is great, and the bigger my shield the better, I dont stack it, But I NEVER EVER, Reforge out of it. Then comes Expertise, Which I really need to keep that aggroe which a tank always needs up, I need like 26points in it. Then Crit, so i can get that beautiful crit off of mangle and get that savage defense proc, Which again is awesome. So yea, those are my "Valuable" stats. - Do you have a raid-viable off-spec? Should the need arise, are you comfortable with playing your off-spec in a raid? I have a resto spec which I raided with through most of DS until a few months ago where I went Bear and never looked back, though I knew my spec well, I was pwning noobs who were over 400Ilvl. Hell It may be alot about gear now, But People should still know that skill is still viable, and that just because someone has a higher GS doesnt mean they are better. - Which spec do you prefer? Are you willing to respec if it were asked of you? Are you willing to respec to the optimal spec for a progression boss? I prefer to be a bear, I have been all of my specs, I lvled as boomkin from lvl 1-80 and went feral kitty from 80-85, while making sure my healing set was still in check, So yea, I know all the ins and outs of my class, and still watch videos about the other specs to make sure I know everything I need to know, and see if there is ever any way to improve on myself. - How do you feel about sitting out for any given encounter should we not need you? It will happen. I feel fine with it, the raid isnt about me, Its about the guild. And I wont have a problem with it as long as we get stuff down, as a guild. - Are you willing to test new content on the PTR or BETA when it becomes available? I would be available if blizzard hadnt messed up with my Beta pass. - How did you hear about our guild? I saw your guild on the forums. - What is your reason for applying? What makes us more appealing that any one of the thousands of other raiding guilds out there? What makes you guys more appealing is the fact that you guys obviously get the job done. Your a Est Raiding Guild which is what I am looking for, your raiding times are optimal for me. and It seems like you guys Can and Will have fun, and are easy going when its appropriate but then again you have that serious side, that knows that when shit has to go down, It HAS TO GO DOWN, And Thats what I like about you guys. You still remember that WoW is a game, but you wanna make it, the best game that it can be. - Are there any WWA raiders or ex-raiders who would be willing to vouch for you? No, But I am hoping to meet some of them soon. - Last words: Show us what sets you apart from the rest of the candidates; what makes you better? What can you bring to WWA? Let us know why WE should want YOU. This is your last chance to impress us, be thorough. If there is anything that wasn’t covered in this application that you’d like us to know, tell us here. Do not answer this question with one sentence. Once again, the more complete the answer, the better. Why would you want me? Well, IDK, Why would anyone want me, Im just like any other person out there, There are a bunch of other people out there who are much more qualified then I am, They have been in Hardcore raiding guilds, I havent, But yea, They are good, They might know a bit more about my class then I do, Hell they might think that they know everything about their class, and that they are the best, and shit, they probably are, But I know, That Im not the best, and I will be humble enough to prove, Ill know that whatever im doing, someone else will always do it better. Thats why I will keep trying, and trying, and trying, until I cant try no more. Because to be the best, you have to know that there will always be someone better, So yea, Im gonna push my self, further and further, to a certain point, where all that pushing is gonna make me the best, and even when I am the best at what I do, I will keep striving to be better, Because what else do you have in this world, other then yourself, I wont stop, And I wont let anyone in WWA stop either, because once im part of a guild, I know its not about me anymore, its about everyone, from that Guild Leader who started everything years ago to that new lvl 1 who just bought world of warcraft and is ready to join in on the experience that all of us are going through. So Yea, I know im not the best, I know I can always be better, and I know that with your help, and my hard work, maybe, just maybe, I can be the guy, who gets the job done, every time, and never leave a doubt in anyones mind, that I was the right choice. |

Well written app. Except this part:
QUOTE I would rather be David then Goliath, Not to be too nit picky, but it's actually "I would rather be David than Goliath." No harm no fowl though. -------------------- ![]() |

Title Format: [Deathz][UDPriest][Shadow] - Armory Link (http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/magtheridon/D%C3%A6thz/simple) - Links to WWS / WMO logs of recent raids you have attended. I don't have any logs. I understand your point in not even applying without this imperitive information; but I have been playing on Magtheridon since the beginning of BC. I've seen WWA in various places. I just want to be a part of a guild that actually raids & is productive while efficient in game. I'd appreciate the second wind to this short notation; seeing I don't have WWS/WMO logs. I can & will keep track of them from now on. - Post a screenshot of your UI in raid combat (www.imgur.com): - Post a screenshot of your UI out of combat: - First Name:Cane - Your Country / Time zone:USA / ESP - Age:22 - Do you have Mumble and working microphone?I don't have Mumble but can get it. Yes I have a working mic. Crisp & Clear. - Do you have the capacity to clearly communicate, yet have the ability to recognize when it's appropriate to keep comments to yourself? Absolutely. Pronunciation & grammatical verbalization is keen for the most part. - Are you able to handle mature (or immature) content on Mumble and in guild chat? Yes. - Are you able to handle harsh criticism? You can, and will, be subjected to harsh criticism and you will be called out when you do not perform. Yes, taking things on a personal level isn't my thing. If anything i'd just return the kind gesture. - Do you partake in anything that would interfere with your ability to raid (i.e. school, work, etc.)? Do you have any obligations in the foreseeable future that will affect your ability to raid? I'm an Asst. Mngr. For a French Cuisine Cafe. Schedule: Tue-Sat 10am-8pm - Do you have any PC or disconnect issues we should know about? Other than standard server crashes... negative. - Do you have an authenticator attached to your account? Yes I do. - Class / Character Name: Priest / Dœthz - Race: UD - Professions: None. They will be Eng. & BS. - Do your professions increase your performance in raids? Explain your choices. Eng. Engineering gives a very strong on demand Intellect boost and Blacksmithing offers the strongest passive stat bonus. - Do you have any raid-viable alts that you can play at a competitive level, should the need arise? If so, provide a link to their armory links here. Not at the moment. 85 Rogue & Hpally stagnant. - Is this your first main character? [No]If not what did you used to play?[Rogue] When did you start playing WoW?[BC] Please provide detailed information (including armory links when applicable) about time spent on all your previous characters. I have nearly a year spent between all toons. Been playing off & on for 4-5 years if not a little longer. - What were the last 3 guilds that you were in? Guildless for awhile. I'm currently in friends guild. [Sup Durotar] Was in [ILL NASTY](Broke apart)What were your reasons for leaving each of these guilds? Currently in Sup durotar. ILL NASTY broke apart; Last time i spoke to a former guildy that was in ILL NASTY...(Not in anymore) I was told the GL abandoned it. Not sure if that's true or not but all i know of ILL NASTY thus far. - What end game raiding experience do you have? Be thorough. The more detail you can provide here, the better.WOTLK-ICC/ULDUAR BC-Kara Cata-PVPd ONly MOP - All raid finder raids. - Please provide a quick summary of your "valuable" Stats (Healing, Attack Power, etc.) as you understand them for your class. Int>15% hit>haste - Do you have a raid-viable off-spec? [Holy]Should the need arise, are you comfortable with playing your off-spec in a raid? Yes. - Which spec do you prefer? [Shadow] Are you willing to respec if it were asked of you? [Absolutely]Are you willing to respec to the optimal spec for a progression boss?[Most deffinitely] - How do you feel about sitting out for any given encounter should we not need you? It will happen. [No big deal] - Are you willing to test new content on the PTR or BETA when it becomes available? Yes - How did you hear about our guild? My own eyes for the past few years. Most players i see have very nice gear. Therefore making it vary easy to notice the guild name. - What is your reason for applying? Want o be in an active guild. Not a guild that claims to be active and once you get in, you dont start raiding until they have found the classes and specs needed in order to even start raiding. Very aggrivating. What makes us more appealing that any one of the thousands of other raiding guilds out there? The name, The players i've came in contact with like (Moniz) Mag-Horde Panda Female. She/He was very skilled & respectful while hunting rare mobs on IOT. - Are there any WWA raiders or ex-raiders who would be willing to vouch for you? None that I know have raided with me. - Last words: Show us what sets you apart from the rest of the candidates; what makes you better? I Can get along with anyone. I can follow instructions. Furthermore I love the game & enjoy progressing through the game. I know my last words are short & to the point, but for a reason. Those three things can take a player far given the correct tools. I don't dissappoint. I'm on every night. Magtheridons Population is low & i'm sure there's not to many of my kind you could possibly find out of the bunch. What can you bring to WWA? One more state of mind & point of view that may be needed in dire situations.Let us know why WE should want YOU. You have a blank canvas to shape into and form to your guilds expectations/routines.This is your last chance to impress us, be thorough.positive, punctual, prepared, and skilled. If there is anything that wasn’t covered in this application that you’d like us to know, tell us here. Do not answer this question with one sentence. Once again, the more complete the answer, the better. |
