- First Name: Will
- Your Country / Time zone: USA, Central Standard Time
- Age:
- Do you have Ventrilo and working microphone?: Yes with a turtle beach mic.
- Are you able to handle mature (or immature) content on Ventrilo and in guild chat? Yes, browsing your forums you guy seem to have a fun time along
- Do you have the capacity to clearly communicate, yet have a knowledge of when it's appropriate to keep comments to yourself? Yes I do, I talk when needed and when it is appropriate. Communication is important for progression as well as knowing when it is appropriate not to speak.
- Are you presently employed or a student. Will it interfere with your ability to raid? Will you be able to attend 99% of our raids? Do you have any other Real Life obligations which might prevent you from attending 99% of our raids? Will you, in the near future, have any obligations that will make you unable to raid? Since I am 20 and do not attend college for money reasons I have enough time to make all raids. I have no raid obligations I can forsee what would at all hinder my ability to maintain perfect attendance now or in the near future.
- Do you have any PC or disconnect issues we should know about? No, and I also have tested my latency and FPS on Magtheridon. Everything is in check.
- Are you able to handle harsh criticism? You can, and will, be subjected to harsh criticism and you will be called out when you do not perform. As much as no one likes to be called out I fully understand if you are not performing or dying to something stupid you should get called out. I am open to criticism even if it is harsh.

- Class / Character Name: Hunter Deciblex
- Race: Troll -- Best race for hunters
- Professions: Jewelcrafting and Incription
- Do your professions increase your performance in raids? Explain your choices Since Jewelcrafting provides exra agility with Chimeras eye I decided to chose that. Inscription also provides extra agility through shoulder enchants and saves grinding for Therazane rep. JC also gets cheaper gems and Scribe gets cheaper Darkmoon cards
- Total time played (/played) and Time played at 85 189 days 4 hours 8 minutes
-Is this your first main character? If not what did you used to play? When did you start playing WoW? Please provide detailed information about time spent on all your previous characters. Tell us as much as you can, the more the better. My main character was a hunter towards the middle of Burning Crusade and still is to this day. During BUrning Crusade I also played on a rogue casually, and a bit on him during Wrath. In Wrath I also made a death knight, but all my core experience is in my hunter right now.
-Main Spec: (x/x/x) (include a link from http://www.wowhead.com if it differs from the spec you presently have on armory). If you have a relevant offspec for raiding, tell us about that as well. 3-7-31
-Armory Link: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/illidan/Deciblex/simple

-What is your current guild? "omg this guys a MONSTER"
-What were the last 3 guilds you were in? What are the reasons for leaving your last and current guild? Tell us about your time in each and how active you were in each. I might as well run down my whole guild history:
In WOTLK my guild was called "Unkillable". They were composed of IRL and in-game friends and were a casual and semi-lax progression guild. I achieved most of my progression with them a long with various pugs during WOTLK.
Unkillable did not last into Cataclysm, and the Guild Master went MIA for awhile. I joined "Average on Illidan" in the begginning of Cataclysm to pursue a more hardcore raiding agenda. AoI progressed very well for a low-key guild. Towards the begginning of January of this year the guild decided to expand and make a move to 25s. When this did not work the guild as a whole decided to rescind raiidng. I made a move to my current guild I am in around the time of early 2012 called "this guys a MONSTER". This is a fun and great like-minded guild that I am currently leaving to pursue a more hardcore raiding agenda. I feel at this time in my life now that my schedule has freed up I am taking a leg up and hoping to take the next leap to a guild more focused on top end tier progression.
- What end game raiding experience do you have? (This includes in vanilla WoW, TBC and WOTLK as well as Cata. be specific.) Be thorough. The more detail the better.
Wrath of the Lich King:
15/15 Naxxarramas
2d Sarth Around after its release, got 3D sarth later on
13/14 Ulduar (Including a kill on Algalon the Observer)
5/5 ToC
12/12 Normal 4/12 Heroic ICC d
Cataclysm:
12/12 3/13 HM T13 (School caught up to me here)
7/7 Normal 4/7 Pre-nerf HM 6/7 Post-Nerf Firelands HM
8/8 Normal 6/8 HM Dragon Soul (5/8 HM Pre-nerfs and Warmaster after nerf)

- Any special Achievements / Titles / Mounts you have earned in PvE you would like us to know about?
Glory of the Firelands Raider
Defender of a Shattered World
Destroys End
- Link to WWS / WMO logs of recent raid(s) you have attended.
My personal logs: http://www.worldoflogs.com/guilds/197422/ and also specifically heroic Ultraxion: http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/r...?s=3857&e=4163
- Provide a Quick Summary of your "Valuable" Stats (Healing, Attack Power, etc.) as you understand them for your class. So the typical stat priority for Survival hunters is generally as follows:
1 > 961 Hit Rating
2 > Agility, agility, agility
3 > Critical Strike Rating
4 > Haste to a relatively low haste cap
5 > Mastery

The main stats that are imperative to a survival hunter is (after 8% hit rating) agility and then after agility you want as much crit is possible. After crit its debatable, but theorycrafting shows Haste to only be good for Survival up to a small haste cap and then go all out on mastery if you can not get the other main stats like agility and then crit. Haste makes Cobra shot faster but it is our only casted ability, and it does not make our dots tick faster as Survival. This is why mastery is more important since it increases the damage done by most of our spells (our mastery scales with increasing elemental damage done). A good amount of haste should get you a nice 1.62 second cast time for Cobra shot, or somewhere around there. That is personally for me my preferred cast time. Haste also makes auto-shot faster though, so having a decent amount of haste as survival still is important.
For Marksmanship haste is much more important and mastery not so much.
Marksmanship stat system still values agility and crit, but after that in the stat priority you want to get as much haste as possible to reach certain haste pleatues. The amount of haste you have as Marks changes your rotation.

- Which major and prime glyphs do you currently use? Explain your choices: Prime Glyphs:
Glyph of Explosive Shot: MANDATORY glyph for Survival hunters. This is one of the reasons why crit is still extremely valuable for Survival. Each explosive shot tick can crit, making it a great Surv glyph.
Glyph of Kill Shot: Great DPS boost when below <20%
Glyph of Arcane Shot: Works very well in conjunction with the 4 set to greatly improve Survivals single target damage.
Major Glyphs
Glyph of Raptor Strike: Great situational glyph to help healers. Raptor strike is great for absorbing damage and upholding hunter survivability with this glyph attached. The 20% damage reduction helps healers and soaking damage on a lot of fights, and it is very easy to throw a quick raptor strike on a boss. I use it a lot on Yorsaj, Warmaster, and even the final phase of deathwing you can quickly throw a raptor strike up and help take less damage during shrapnel on the last phase of madness.
Glyph of Disengage: Disengage helps for different fights for quick getaways or what-not, so having a decreased cooldown is nice.
Glyph of Trap Launcher: Trap launcher has proven to be a great hunter addition to placing traps, Having trap launchers focus reduced is a great way to save focus and not have your focus eaten up at the start of fights.
- Do you have dualspec, and is your offspec something you could viably play in raids? Beast Mastery is my current dual spec due to the demands of my raid comp I used to raid with. Marksmanship is usually the desired offspec, and I can play Marksmanship and Beast Mastery equally exceptional to the way I play Survival.
- What spec do you prefer? Are you willing to respec if an emergency arises? Are you willing to respec to the optimal spec for a progression boss? I have always found Survival to be the most enjoyable spec but I will play any spec that is the top damage spec or what is ever needed by the raid. I always make sure I have the right set ups to readily re-spec and not waste time if needed.

- How do you feel about sitting out for any given encounter if we do not need you? It will happen. As long as it benefits the guild I never have a problem with sitting out or being denied loot or any other things like that that usually cause dramas among immature people.

- Are you willing to spend 400+ gold a night in repairs and consumables, stay focused and wipe for 4 hours straight, come back the next day and do it all over again until a new boss dies (even on "farm" content)? Of course, I mean that is what you have to do for serious progression.

- What is your reason for applying? What makes us more appealing that any one of the thousands of other raiding guilds out there? Their are thousands of raiding guilds out there for sure. One of the most appealing aspects to your guilds is the impressive rise you have done through all the tiers and finally solidifying a US top 15 spot for 25 mans which is pretty dam amazing. Your end of the expansion wrap up was intriguing and inspiring. Your community seems to have a great and fun vibe to it, and you guys seem very serious on top end competitive raiding.

- Who, if anyone, will vouch for your abilities in WWA? Currently I do not know anyone in WWA.

- Post a screenshot of your UI.(If you are having trouble, use the free image hosting resources of http://imgur.com) http://imgur.com/kkCFu

- Last words: Show us what sets you apart from the rest of the candidates; what makes you better? What can you bring to WWA? What do you want us to know that wasn’t covered? Let us know why WE want YOU. This is your last chance to impress us, be thorough. Do not answer this question with one sentence. Once again, the more complete the answer, the better.
My gear level might be a bit behind most your members, but that can be fixed very quickly. Overall I am extremely passionate about joining WWA and feel I can perform EXCEPTIONALLY. I have no doubt at all in my abilities as a hunter. I make sure to know what to do every encounter, and change my ability to execute my priority system based on the nature of the fight. I have been playing a Hunter since friggen Burning Crusade, so many years now, and I do not see myself changing any time soon. One thing I pride myself on is being a hunter "guru" and understanding every ounce of knowledge I can about the hunter. Another important thing I hope you realize I can bring to the table is a confident and positive attitude who always works for the better of the guild. As I had mentioned before I do not care if I have to sit or denied a peice of loot, I am solely here to do whatever is best for the guild, no matter what. Joining you guys would be an amazing experience for me and I highly hope you guys decide to seek my app further. Thanks!

You applied to SM a little over three weeks ago. I'm assuming by your application here that you were denied. Was SM your first choice when you started the application process? Was it your second? Most importantly, where does WWA rank on your list of possible raiding guilds?

Please don't say 12th ;(

Not sure what guild you are referring to when you say SM
Regardless WWA seems like an amazing guild, and in terms of my list of possible raiding guilds they would definitly be number one for me joining. I would join as soon as they told me it was ok smile.gif
