- First Name: Jake
- Your Country / Time zone: United States / Eastern Time Zone - Age: 17 - Do you have Ventrilo and working microphone? Yes. - Are you able to handle mature (or immature) content on Ventrilo and in guild chat? Yes. - Do you have the capacity to clearly communicate, yet have a knowledge of when it's appropriate to keep comments to yourself? Yes, I have a filter... usually. - Are you presently employed or a student. Will it interfere with your ability to raid? Will you be able to attend 99% of our raids? Do you have any other Real Life obligations which might prevent you from attending 99% of our raids? Will you, in the near future, have any obligations that will make you unable to raid? I am currently in High School but it does not and will not interfere with my raiding. - Do you have any PC or disconnect issues we should know about? No. - Are you able to handle harsh criticism? Yes. - Class / Character Name: Paladin / Evinian - Race: Draenei - Professions: Alchemy / Engineering - Do your professions increase your performance in raids? Alchemy allows me to extend my flasks, provide cauldrons, and provide my own consumables for raid. Engineering tinkers aid my performance in raid (Synapse Springs, occasional rocket boots). - Total time played (/played) and Time played at 85: 101 days total, 94 days at 85. -Is this your first main character? If not what did you used to play? When did you start playing WoW? Please provide detailed information about time spent on all your previous characters. Tell us as much as you can, the more the better: This is not my first main character. I began playing in December of 2004, and my original level 60 was a Night Elf Hunter. This character had in excess of 250 days played throughout Vanilla+Burning Crusade. I played a Draenei Mage during WotLK with ~50 days played, I did very little raiding throughout Wrath. In total, across all previous characters and accounts I have in excess of 400 days played. I have bed sores from playing World of Warcraft. -Main Spec: (5/32/4) This spec was created for maximum damage for Spine while I am tanking, I alternate between this spec and http://www.wowhead.com/talent#s0hZGMhcRkdRRuf0M -Off Spec: (7/2/32) I am very comfortable raiding as Retribution, I am currently my guilds Off Tank and my Ret set is more geared than my Prot set because of progression team needs. -Armory Link: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/drak...vinian/advanced -What is your current guild? Top Hat - Drak'thul -What were the last 3 guilds you were in? What are the reasons for leaving your last and current guild? Tell us about your time in each and how active you were in each. Synn: Only in guild for leveling, joined when I originally rolled on this server. Drak Thul Knights: Progressed through T11 in this guild, part of Team One, left to join a more active, and frankly better guild. Amorphous: Progressed through T12 and partially DS with this guild, I raided with them on a weekly basis progressing through 8/8N, a few of us then left to form our own guild and progress through Heroic content (Top Hat). Top Hat: I am leaving Top Hat in hopes of finding a guild to continue to farm Cataclysm, and progress much more quickly throughout MoP. Top Hat's raid team fell apart after finishing 8/8H due to players ineterested in Diablo, Real Life, etc. - What end game raiding experience do you have? (This includes in vanilla WoW, TBC and WOTLK as well as Cata. be specific.) Be thorough. The more detail the better: Vanilla: Clears of all 25 and 40 man raids while relevant. All raiding during Vanilla was completed in the guild Oracle on the server Rexxar. Burning Crusade: Full clears of all content excluding Kil'Jaeden. All raiding during Burning crusade also completed with Oracle - Rexxar. WotLK: No relevant raiding experiences, occasional VoA clear. Cataclysm: 12/13H completed with Drak Thul Knights scattered across characters. 6/7H Firelands completed with Amorphous. 8/8H completed with Top Hat. Madness was not completed until 15% nerf, only Morchok, Yor, and Ultrax completed pre-nerf. Zon'ozz and Hagara 5%. Warmaster 10%. Spine and Madness 20% nerf due to lack of attendance and those who were attending were.... subpar. - Any special Achievements / Titles / Mounts you have earned in PvE you would like us to know about? I have the Life-Binder's Handmaiden, and I am 1 achievement away from the Dragon Soul meta (Deck Defender). My hunter Zarn - Rexxar, no longer in existence, had the majority of my raiding relevant achievements. - Link to WWS / WMO logs of recent raid(s) you have attended: http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/rt-j7k4msknq460kco7/ (Ret Log) http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/rt-xlg4vbv88xruertl/ (Prot Log) - Provide a Quick Summary of your "Valuable" Stats (Healing, Attack Power, etc.) as you understand them for your class: Strength>Hit to 8%>Exp to 26>Mastery>Crit>Haste Attack Power, given by Strength: ~20.5k Hit: 8.06% Exp: 26 - Which major and prime glyphs do you currently use? Explain your choices: Prime: Glyph of Seal of Truth, adds 10 expertise allowing me to use gems, enchants, and reforges for more valuable stats. Glyph of Exorcism, a large dps increase, gives a dot other than Censure. Glyph of Templar's Verdict, Templar's Verdict is #2 on damage done generally, this is the most essential glyph for Ret. Major: Glyph of Hammer of Wrath, HoW has a fairly high mana cost, during Avenging Wrath the frequent use of HoW would cause an empty mana bar without this glyph. Glyph of Hammer of Justice, This glyph was chosen for Warmaster for sapper stunning needs. Glyph of the Ascetic Crusader, this glyph was also chosen to prevent an empty mana bar and down time, Crusader Strike is your most frequently cast spell and a lower mana cost is... usable considering the other available Major gylphs. - Do you have dualspec, and is your offspec something you could viably play in raids? Yes, and yes. I play Ret on a daily basis, as I said before I was our guilds Off-Tank so I spent more time in my Ret spec than in my prot spec. - What spec do you prefer? Are you willing to respec if an emergency arises? Are you willing to respec to the optimal spec for a progression boss? I prefer Ret over Prot, but I understand the ratio of tanks to dps and am fully willing to play whichever role is necessary for the better of the group. - How do you feel about sitting out for any given encounter if we do not need you? It will happen: Fine, I understand that certain comps are required for certain bosses, ranging from burst stacking pre nerf Spine to range stacking for... basically everything. I have sit out before for the better of the group and I feel completely comfortable doing it again. - Are you willing to spend 400+ gold a night in repairs and consumables, stay focused and wipe for 4 hours straight, come back the next day and do it all over again until a new boss dies (even on "farm" content)? Yes, I am used to the feeling of 200+ wipes in less than a week on a single boss (C'thun, H Spine, Kil'Jaeden) - What is your reason for applying? What makes us more appealing that any one of the thousands of other raiding guilds out there? I am looking to return to raiding at a higher standard as I did in Vanilla-Burning Crusade. During Cataclysm I felt like I have been restrained by the lack of skilled players on the server Drak'thul, WWA has a history of being a top 25 US guild and I feel like you will continue to be throughout MoP progression. - Who, if anyone, will vouch for your abilities in WWA? I do not know anyone from WWA. - Post a screenshot of your UI.(If you are having trouble, use the free image hosting resources of http://imgur.com): I turned on Raid warnings to give a better presentation of an actual raid situation. - Last words: Show us what sets you apart from the rest of the candidates; what makes you better? What can you bring to WWA? What do you want us to know that wasn’t covered? Let us know why WE want YOU. This is your last chance to impress us, be thorough. Do not answer this question with one sentence. Once again, the more complete the answer, the better: I have a past experience of high end raiding and I understand the requirements of raiding with a guild with standards similar to those of WWA. I am extremely raid aware, coming from years of raiding in multiple environments (10, 25, and 40 man). Loot is NOT at the top of my list of importances, as you can see from the lack of certain pieces of gear on my character (410 Boots, 416 Eye of Unmaking, Gurth, and Backbreaker Shoulders), I am willing to do what is necessary for the better of the team such as passing gear to others which it may benefit more. I am a strong believer in the idea that gear is not the determining factor of a player, it is the player themself. Thank you for reading my application and I look forward to reading any feedback from members! |

Why do you click instead of keybinding?
edit: I also find it hard to believe that you went from competing at a high level in vanilla and TBC to not competing at all in WotLK or Cata. Can you provide some additional proof of your raiding experience on your hunter? Old screenshots, an armory link, etc would be nice. What was your hunters name? edit2: Did some more sleuthing. Oracle didn't clear Naxx at 40. -------------------- ![]() |

I'll look at gear/spec/logs when I get home. Although I do think your full of shit with your past experience, sup being nine or ten raiding that seriously. I can't think of any guild back in the day that would take you on age alone and considering it was much harder to get into good guilds, I think you're lying.
Another thing, you left a guild to form the guild your in now..... And are now leaving that guild, I just dislike that and wanted to point it out. Plus we already have hozz for our strapping young boy raid spot, so you aren't starting out well. -------------------- ![]() |

Pushing relevant content at that age and staying up until the required midnight or 1am, I really don't see it. I have to agree with clearly here.

Both of your specs are decent enough, though I don't know why you would ever put a point into repent these days where everything is just aoe'd. I mean you don't have minor glyphs in your specs which is fine, just a bit lazy; same thing with the lack of a cloak tinker.
I personally don't like engineering for ret anymore, I used apparatus for really all of progression due to eh retarded burst it gave us, having to stagger that with my glove use is in fact why I dropped engineering when FL was current content. I have JC though so meh, I understand at least. Don't know if my love Killmour is coming back or not, but if he does.. I'd say you don't have a shot, but if not who knows. Your uptime on inquisition looks good at least, but you raid 10 man which has been a joke since ICC, if not before then. Your damage is about where it should be for 10 man with your gear.. since you're missing a few BiS items and some raid wide buffs due to lol10 man. Anyways, good luck on your app, don't lie next time to try and impress people. -------------------- ![]() |
