Class: rogue

- First Name: Ricky
- Your Country / Time zone: USA. EST
- Age: 25
- Do you have Ventrilo and working microphone? Yes, headset and all.
- Are you able to handle mature (or immature) content on Ventrilo and in guild chat? Yes. I have witnessed the entity that is Meganerd in a raid. 150 wpm and 13k dps. I believe it has prepared me.
- Do you have the capacity to clearly communicate, yet have a knowledge of when it's appropriate to keep comments to yourself? I am mature enough to know when to pull out and when to stay in and finish.
- Are you presently employed or a student. Will it interfere with your ability to raid? Will you be able to attend 99% of our raids? Do you have any other Real Life obligations which might prevent you from attending 99% of our raids?I am in the process of a promotion. My current schedule has me working; Friday - Monday until 730 PM est. Sunday will be difficult but by the end of May my new schedule will be your run of the mill 9 to 5.
- Do you have any PC or disconnect issues we should know about?I live in a new home and have not tested the hurricane season, as of yet. (I live in Florida.)
- Are you able to handle harsh criticism? You can, and will, be subjected to harsh criticism and you will be called out when you do not perform.I am willing to accept harsh constructive criticism. As long as it pertains to the game, I have no qualms or worries. Anything done out of jest, where it is meant to hurt, might make me cry. :'(

- Class / Character Name: Rogue|Grabass
- Race: Troll.
- Professions: Enchanting & Engineering.
- Do your professions increase your performance in raids? Explain your choices. Engineering is the optimal profession for a rogue as it provides some best in slot enchants for multiple equipment slots; cloak, gloves, belt, and boots. It also provides bombs. Before the new dungeon loot rules came into effect, I enjoyed enchanting/disenchanting loot. An easy 500g here and there. I've always had enchanting, it will always be a decent profession/source of funds.
- Total time played (/played) and Time played at 8067 days played. 33 days at this level. I started WoW in BC.
-Is this your first main character? If not what did you used to play? When did you start playing WoW? Please provide detailed information about time spent on all your previous characters. Tell us as much as you can, the more the better. In continuation of the previous question, I began playing WoW during BC. This was not my first character. I played a warlock named Dreadlockz through a large portion of BC up until RAF. I leveled various alts in preparation for the WoTLK expansion. After WoTLK started I began playing my paladin and hunter. I raided with my hunter until a few successful farm kills of Yogg and then sold the account after graduation. I picked up WoW again in December a friend who played my rogue through most of my hiatus had provided me with sufficient gear to find a guild for ICC. Unfortunately I cannot provide you a correct amount of days played on my previous characters due in part to having sold the account.

-Main Spec: (x/x/x) (include a link from http://www.wowhead.com if it differs from the spec you presently have on armory). If you have a relevant offspec for raiding, tell us about that as well.
-Amory Link: [paste your link here] (Be sure to log out with your raiding gear on)

http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.x...&cn=Grabass
Main Spec: 51/18/2.

My 2 floater points in the assassination tree are placed in Deadly Brew. I feel that the usage of the snare that it provides to the raid, especially Val'kyr during LK, is more useful than Fleet Footed and Quick Recovery. I am expertised cap and meet the sufficient hit requirement of 315, therefore my attacks won't miss. If I ever need a boost i can always press Shift1 and use Sprint or Rocket Boots, it if its ever on my boots again.

Offspec: 20/51/0.
Cookie Cutter Combat. Unfortunately, I am not the biggest fan of combat. I can play it. But if subtlety wasn't a chore to play and still provide less than acceptable DPS I'd be playing Subtlety. At the end of my application I will post a link to a screenshot of my combat gear. I have Shoulders and Legs as set pieces sad.gif.

-What is your current guild? <Scoundrels>
-What were the last 3 guilds you were in? What are the reasons for leaving your last and current guild? Tell us about your time in each and how active you were in each. My last three guilds can disappointingly be summarized as fail, with the exception of <Scoundrels>.
The oldest of the three guilds that I had been a member of was <Pull Out>. I raided with them at the beginning of January. My gear was not up to par as it was just a mixture of ToC and badge loot. Again as a mutilate rogue, topping charts amongst subpar players was an easy task. I then proceeded to raid with <Pwn Shop> I am friends with Drunkenman, I like Drunkenman. I just feel that his other officers are douchers. I was with them for three weeks. Unfortunately, the officer core aside from DM, could not appreciate constructive criticism from myself, mundate and another friend. We were all removed. Currently, I am in <Scoundrels> very fun, very active (only on free loots tuesdays), very troubled guild. Attendance is the current issue. We can burn through 11/12 in one night and then its just ninja logs and no shows. It's that time of year where everyone wants to wait for the expansion. I want to earn my frost wyrm and I don't see myself obtaining one where I am presently.

- What end game raiding experience do you have? (This includes in vanilla WoW, TBC and WOTLK. be specific.) Be thorough. The more detail the better. As I mentioned in previous questions, I am a TBC baby. Loot was handed to me and I am expectant of bosses to drop loot specifically meant for me. I raided TBC on my paladin with Flatline through T6 content successfully. I took a break from raiding and skipped out on Sunwell. When I returned everyone had his/her Black War Bear and raiding was dead. I have done Naxx ULD TOC and some ToGC. On this character I didn't do any ULD 25 as its not zergable so much as finding competent raiders. But I have done that content and it sucked.
- Any special Achievements / Titles / Mounts you have earned in PvE you would like us to know about? On my mage, Shylastylez I acquired an Amani War Bear before it was cool to have one. I really have nothing from WoTLK that I am proud to say I progressed through to acquire. The 310 mount and titles I basically zerged it.
- Link to WWS / WMO logs of recent raid(s) you have attended.
Here is a link to the last few weeks of raiding. On some logs I dont appear I was either sitting out to let someone else get gear or on an alt getting gear.
http://www.worldoflogs.com/guilds/1017/

- Provide a Quick Summary of your "Valuable" Stats (Healing, Attack Power, etc.) as you understand them for your class. With the ICC buff it's really put HASTE as the forerunner for stats. The faster I can apply the Deadly Poison stacks the sooner I can effectively envenom. This also helps during target switching a faster application means I can manage to keep up with target switching combat rogues. After maximizing haste on my gear, it would then go as such: Haste > AP > HIT >EXP > AGI > CRIT.
As far as Combat is concerned, ArP is the primary concern, modifying my current available damage to do more damage is always YAY!.

- Which major glyphs do you currently use? Explain your choices
Hunger for Blood - This is a 3% increase in personal DPS.
Mutilate - Reduces energy cost by 5 meaning more mutilates for a lower cost.
Tricks of the Trade - This increases the duration of the TotT buff on my target increasing raid dps.

- Do you have dualspec, and is your offspec something you could viably play in raids? I have dual raiding specs. I can viably play it. It would be more dps than an alt but not up to par with what I would feel comfortable using.
- What spec do you prefer? Are you willing to respec if an emergency arises? Are you willing to respec to the optimal spec for a progression boss? I prefer mutilate. I will always go combat on Dreamwalker. That fight makes absolutely no sense to stay as Mut. The amount of target switching and the fast mob death doesn't allow for an effective dps output. Also properly timed cool-downs could destroy a pack of suppressors or even demolish one of the caster targets.
- How do you feel about sitting out for any given encounter if we do not need you? I am familiar with sitting out and letting some other player/class step up and fill the required role. This type of team play only benefits the guild in the long run.
- Are you willing to spend 400+ gold a night in repairs and consumables, stay focused and wipe for 4 hours straight, come back the next day and do it all over again until a new boss dies (even on "farm" content)? I misread this question. My first answer was convoluted with nonsense and drivel about theorycrafting. It is late and I'm sorry. But, wiping is not a problem the ends will justify the means. Gold is not real currency it can and always will be acquired. Joining this guild means a player expects to raid for the scheduled hours and if it just happens to be a wipefest will I guess we'll learn all the wrong ways to do a boss before we get it done right.

- What is your reason for applying? What makes us more appealing that any one of the thousands of other raiding guilds out there? My goals for the game are personal enjoyment, entertainment networking (playing games with people outside of wow XBL, Steam, what have you), and most specifically having my cards re-dealt. By cards I am referring to the proverbial ones and I currently feel that I am playing the best hand available to me with scoundrels. I really dont want to go all in and lose on the river. sad.gif. I would love to praise you and reiterate all of the Best of the Best Men in Black Will Smith shit. But, really you guys already know this and I'm not sure if you all really need another captain obvious. You guys are where I want to be.
- Who, if anyone, will vouch for your abilities in WWA? I can't say anyone who has played with me in an actual raid setting where I am not dual boxing something or distracted. I was in WWA and Run Out as a social. I am an irl friend of Grintok, Dave. (no, not the bad rogue you see in trade that guy actually bought his account off marquee dragon). I played as Zr then, lols druid. So I know of some people who joined your guild from <Paradigm> I played my hunter Fierycrotch then. I know of Lyricals from some vent chatting with a few friends. I have played my shaman with some of you in ICC 10. Gigglezlol, resto shaman. I named changed it to Rachelstarr. biggrin.gif.
- Post a screenshot of your UI.(If you are having trouble, use the free image hosting resources of http://imageshack.us)

- Last words: Show us what sets you apart from the rest of the candidates; what makes you better? What can you bring to WWA? What do you want us to know that wasn’t covered? Let us know why WE want YOU. This is your last chance to impress us, be thorough. Do not answer this question with one sentence. Once again, the more complete the answer, the better.

Anyone can play a rogue. Anyone can play this game. Blizzard has made it that way. I was never skilled at playing my rogue and when I went on hiatus I wanted my friend to play it for me so that if I ever came back I would learn to play. I was always fascinated with the class. What really sparked my interest to play again was AION. I rolled an assassin and was instantly hooked. Like everyone who went to AION, the WoW itch came back. I decided to get my rogue back and play it. Like any noob I tried to use shiv, play combat daggers, I was specced for maces using a sword and dagger. December was a hard few weeks learning the mechanics of a rogue and actually making use of what was available to me. After deciding to follow the route of an Assassination rogue, I read up on all the necessary forums. I acquired all the right macros. Used the proper spreadsheets,(Currently, I'm a big fan of iDPS.) I improved drastically and set small goals for myself. Topping meters, beating this person beating that person. Making sure I didn't over use energy on HfB. Did I tricks enough? I took an analytical approach and put into use the best practices that I could find and have become successful with what I have available to me.

Here is the promised Combat Stats:

Another quick LoL: When I tried to play my paladin I spent an hour looking for Seal of Blood. Only to realize that it was removed a few patches back.

One more thing. On Sundays and Mondays I might not be on Till 8:15-8:30 due to the ride home from work and supper, I dont like to eat in front of the PC. I can drink but not eat. How would that affect me? This would be problematic only for the next 3-4 weeks depending on availability at my company's new site.

Hopefully, I didn't type too much its 2:20 est. I'm sleepy. Thanks again for your consideration.

it's a french name. its pronounced Gra boss. it means one with no respect. c/d?

It was once anuswipe. There is no such thing as an ANU SWIPE according to blizzard. Apparently, they don't know the special moves of the emerald pokemon.

well, in the end it's pretty much the same thing we say to all the other rogues. everything looks fine, but we have 2 raiding rogues and i'm not sure if we'd want 3 rogues. Although, for H-LK a third rogue that's mutilate wouldn't hurt, considering he's specced into deadly brew to slow valkyr's

Lloyd: What do you think the chances are of a guy like you and a girl like me... ending up together?
Mary: Well, Lloyd, that's difficult to say. I mean, we don't really...
Lloyd: Hit me with it! Just give it to me straight! I came a long way just to see you, Mary. The least you can do is level with me. What are my chances?
Mary: Not good.
Lloyd: You mean, not good like one out of a hundred?
Mary: I'd say more like one out of a million.
[pause]Lloyd: So you're telling me there's a chance... *YEAH!*

Well I am currently guildless. I don't mind coming off the bench, I can be your 6th man. technically 26th, but you know.

just wait, after a few more weeks of being a few short for LK heroic, something's bound to happen.

actually, we might check you out on one of our alt runs, see what you can do. we do 11/12 normal in the alt runs, so you still get a bunch of badges and shit if you need them.
