- First Name:
Gabriel - Your Country / Time zone: United States PST - Age: 26 - Do you have Ventrilo and working microphone? Yes I do - Are you able to handle mature (or immature) content on Ventrilo and in guild chat? As long as the other members can handle mine i can handle theirs - Do you have the capacity to clearly communicate, yet have a knowledge of when it's appropriate to keep comments to yourself? I know when its fucking around time and when its business time, communication wont be a problem - Are you presently employed or a student. Will it interfere with your ability to raid? Will you be able to attend 99% of our raids? Do you have any other Real Life obligations which might prevent you from attending 99% of our raids? Currently I own my own maid service business, which means I dont do anything except sit at the office, play games and make $$ like a pimp, but my wife does work 6 days a week not knowing when her day off is. The problem with this is we usually consider Sundays "family" day and like to go out but its usually never on sundays, usually it's saturdays or Fridays, but Sundays do happen. Even then Im sure I can push the raid promising other things - Do you have any PC or disconnect issues we should know about? None, Im an avid FPS player so I keep my PC up to date. My degree is also in Database Administration so I know enough about computers to not have the "omg my PC something is wrong I cant raid QQQQQQQ" - Are you able to handle harsh criticism? You can, and will, be subjected to harsh criticism and you will be called out when you do not perform. I come from a raiding background where if you get hit by something like a void zone you would get talked shit to non stop. When it comes to my performance I usually know if Im doing something wrong or not performing up to par with what I can, but I never mind having a discussion with other members about my performance - Class / Character Name: Bullistix - Death Knight - Race: Orc - Professions: Jewelcrafting / Enchanting - Do your professions increase your performance in raids? Explain your choices My professions are pretty basic. They both give me stats equal to the other professions which, of course, increase my over all performance. I have enchanting because I was the designated guild enchanter when my guild reformed in Cataclysm and since professions now give similar stats, it wasn't a big hit. Its also a decent money maker. - Total time played (/played) and Time played at 85 Given I created this character towards the end of WotlK; Total Time Played = 58 Days 17 Hours Time Played This Level: 45 Days, 24 Hours -Is this your first main character? If not what did you used to play? When did you start playing WoW? Please provide detailed information about time spent on all your previous characters. Tell us as much as you can, the more the better. I started playing WoW during patch 1.5 when a bunch of friends came over to WoW from Lineage 2. I was the last one to leave Lineage 2 for WoW so I came a little late. My main in Vanilla was a healing priest with shadow for PvP. My alt was a Hunter for both PvP and PvE since my guild required us to have an alt with a different play style (if u had a healer be dps or tank etc..) In TBC i played my hunter more than my priest because my PvE guild disbanded, a bunch of friends quit so I just concentrated on arenas and PvP with my hunter. TBC I quit off and on with friends coming and going so by mid TBC I went prot paladin to do some PvE and finished the expansion with ret (OP) paladin. In WotlK I played my ret paladin until I was forced to go back to prot since we needed a tank for our serious 25man raiding. I played Prot paladin all the way to Algalon. Sold that account and skipped ToC for Aion, came back towards the end of WotlK with friends and made this Death Knight on my new account. Kept this death knight ever since. -Main Spec: (x/x/x) (include a link from http://www.wowhead.com if it differs from the spec you presently have on armory). If you have a relevant offspec for raiding, tell us about that as well. -Armory Link: [paste your link here] (Be sure to log out with your raiding gear on) http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/kilj...listix/advanced Spec is currently 7/2/32. I currently dont have an off spec, my "offspec" is a raid utility spec where I carry AMZ for hard mode fights where healers need the cooldown. I used to enjoy Death Knight tanking in WotlK but I hated it when they forcibly made Blood the tank spec in Cata. I will work and make a tank offspec if needed, for T11 Halfus progression in my 10man I had to be the third tank so its no biggie, just something I dont enjoy. -What is your current guild? Silly Hats Only -What were the last 3 guilds you were in? What are the reasons for leaving your last and current guild? Tell us about your time in each and how active you were in each. <Silly Hats Only> My current guild This guild is alright but it isn't the type of progression that I was looking for when looking for a guild. For example during H Mode progression it just feels like half the raid doesn't care if we down the boss or not. Like if we down it yay if we dont oh well. Raid leaders telling the raid to prepot like, really? You mean to tell me some people aren't prepotting? I dont mind wiping to a progression boss, but when you're wiping for 9 hours on a progression boss and half your raid is still laughing in vent fucking around, then it gets pretty annoying. <The Thundering Legion> pre TBC: Joined this guild with some friends when I came over from Lineage 2. We were server #1 in every category, controlled world dragons, and our pvp groups were #1 in our battlegroup in cross realm BGs. Guild disbanded when we hit a brick wall on 4 horses, then the PvP patch came out (patch 2.0) and half the guild just quit WoW. <The Thundering Legion> TBC and ahead: Like I mentioned before, TBC wasn't really an expansion I experienced in PvE much. Around BT a bunch of friends came back to WoW and remade The Thundering Legion with more of a focus towards making a great guild for WotlK. During WotlK we were instantly server #1 guild, even though we started WotlK without a complete 25man roster and had to do 2 10mans first. Server first Malygos 25 kill with 3 pugs in our raid. We then killed Sarth 3d 25 and a week later sarth 3D 10 since it was considered the hardest encounter in T7. We were number 1 through out Ulduar killing every fight pre nerf up until Freya 3 then in a 1 week span our 3 best healers quit the game leaving us in the dust. Because of the brick wall Freya was to us and the sudden WoW quit of the healers, other members stopped giving a shit and the guild eventually disbanded. We did get server first Algalon 10man though. I quit to play Aion when ToC was released, eventually Aion sucked really bad, came back with same friends since some didn't quit. I had sold my Ulduar HM account so I came back with this new account, made this Death Knight towards the end of WotlK getting ready for Cataclysm, again with this same guild. We started Cataclysm having to keep on recruiting for our 10man roster but we were always fighting for server firsts with another older guild in the server we transferred to. We beat them on some HM they beat us on others. Reached 8/13HM until again members started to quit. Raid leader didn't feel like recruiting or keeping up and guild disbanded. Came back for Firelands to try it one more time, again, we reached 6/7HM pre nerf on the bosses, tank quit for a 7/7H guild to carry him, other tank and healer friend quit because "they got jobs" new guild leader said he didnt have time to recruit and all that crap. Members left the guild. Some members went to other 7/7H guilds, I quit WoW to start my business. - What end game raiding experience do you have? (This includes in vanilla WoW, TBC and WOTLK as well as Cata. be specific.) Be thorough. The more detail the better. Well I went into heavy detail on the above question but I have extensive raiding experience in WoW and know what it takes to progress through hard modes. In vanilla we were server #1 on everything killing every boss pre nerf being way ahead of every other guild in server. We were downing Patchwerk while the server #2 guild was only doing Instructor and could barely down the Gargoyle trash. - Any special Achievements / Titles / Mounts you have earned in PvE you would like us to know about? hmm dont know about special, since everybody can pretty much get everything now. I guess Dragonslayer since people still fail at Sinestra balls to this day lol - Link to WWS / WMO logs of recent raid(s) you have attended. Im going to post direct links to progression fights, feel free to browse the rest of WoL This is a progression Yorsahj wipe, its one of the few that we even got past 4mins with a few black phases thrown in http://worldoflogs.com/reports/rt-9d0e0xzx...3977&e=4443 This is our first ever Hagara H kill http://worldoflogs.com/reports/rt-e7atkmg5...8102&e=8587 - Provide a Quick Summary of your "Valuable" Stats (Healing, Attack Power, etc.) as you understand them for your class. Strength of course is our primary stat while being hit capped is a priority. When it comes to haste mastery and crit, it all depends on what your gear is. Mastery is one of weaker stats until 4pc T13 and Gurthalak, both of which I have, then mastery because really strong. Having a good amount of Haste is still a priority but it isn't the end all stat like it used to be in other tiers. I always try to keep haste above 2k rating and then increase my other stats, those being mastery and crit since crit benefits our pets now. - Which major and prime glyphs do you currently use? Explain your choices My prime glyphs are all pretty much cookie cutter. I use the Death Coil and SS glyphs to increase their dmg and the glyph of raise dead to increase my pet's strength, since a huge % of my overall dmg comes from my pet. For Major glyphs, the glyph of pestilence is the only one thats really there for a reason and thats because increasing the range of pestilence is important, especially in cleave heavy fights like DS fights. It's also bugged and increases the dmg of PS. - Do you have dualspec, and is your offspec something you could viably play in raids? Like I explained earlier, my dual spec is pretty much a utility specced Unholy spec, taking AMZ over other DPS increase options. - What spec do you prefer? Are you willing to respec if an emergency arises? Are you willing to respec to the optimal spec for a progression boss? I don't mind respeccing, I started 4.3 being frost DW spec until Unholy became the preferential spec for Deathknights to go. I started T11 as Unholy DW, then 2H when DW got nerfed, then went to DW Frost mid T11 when DW Frost got buffed and stayed DW Frost through T12 because it was the best DPS, and now im back to Unholy. - How do you feel about sitting out for any given encounter if we do not need you? It will happen. I understand progression raiding and I have been sat before because of raid comp. I usually always try to keep an alt, like right now I have my mage, up to par with my main just incase theres a fight where my DK has to sit, for example how Monstrosity H pretty much killed melee, i could bring my mage. I will try my best to make my spot be valuable. In the end, as long as the guild gets the boss down and progresses. - Are you willing to spend 400+ gold a night in repairs and consumables, stay focused and wipe for 4 hours straight, come back the next day and do it all over again until a new boss dies (even on "farm" content)? Gold should never impede someone from progression raiding. If it does, you're playing the wrong game. To me, gold isnt an issue, I know how to make it if I ever need it. I was the first in my server to own an epic flying mount in TBC, bought it the second I got to lv70 since I already had 12k gold at level 60. 4 hours really isn't that bad, back in Vanilla I used to have 6 to 8 hour raid days. - What is your reason for applying? What makes us more appealing that any one of the thousands of other raiding guilds out there? After my guild disbanded i thought I could just tag along with a regular guild maybe progressing maybe not, but honestly, im just not built for that, and I get really angry when im in a guild where half the people aren't trying as hard as I am. - Who, if anyone, will vouch for your abilities in WWA? I dont know anybody in the guild, i saw the guild recruitment post in the WoW forums. - Post a screenshot of your UI.(If you are having trouble, use the free image hosting resources of http://imageshack.us) http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/828/w...1312195625.jpg/ - Last words: Show us what sets you apart from the rest of the candidates; what makes you better? What can you bring to WWA? What do you want us to know that wasn’t covered? Let us know why WE want YOU. Im a dedicated player to this game. The reason I play WoW is for end game progression, its the only reason I enjoy it now. Everything I do in the game is to benefit my end game raiding. I'll bring knowledge of my class and what I am supposed to do, and you can always count on not having to babysit me through content. I always want to be the best in my class and I do my research on what I have to do to achieve that goal. I'm a really competitive person so I dont even allow myself to slack. I see that your guild is dedicated in progression and I bring another member to the team with that same dedication. |

Do you click IBF and gargoyle? hmm didnt notice that screen shot I took is from my second spec (AMZ) I made mid Yorsahj. My main spec I actually have three icons macroed that is binded that uses my cooldowns for example Gargoyle with my racial + pot or IBF with AMS etc. the ONLY thing not binded and that I click is my Army. I use a Razer Naga mouse all 12 buttons are binded. The screen shot is an identical UI it just doesn't have those three icons with my macros for the cooldowns. edit: 12 side buttons are binded but I also have the two top mouse buttons binded as well one with Outbreak the other for Chains of Ice for Warmaster jihadist add. Pet controls are also binded |

Pet controls are also binded fair enough. Just checking, because although not always the case, often a lack of binds means a lack of using the abilities, and as we all know, using personal CDs is extremely important in end-game raiding. also understand that were you to raid with us, you would be expected to be specced into AMZ 100% of the time. I will get back to you in a bit, but i have voiced me largest concerns. -------------------- ![]() |

In Yorsahj they still didn't bring it into the rotation I just used it when I thought healers needed help. I know for Hard Modes though, AMZ is a great cooldown. |

The only problem I can really see is your damage is kinda low. I understand some fights are kinda shitty for a unholy but if you can find the spots where you can gain extra dps from and use them correctly that makes a big difference. With that being said your gear looks fine beside the fact your using tier shoulders over back breakers. But that can be a drop issue so w/e. If your willing to listen and pay attention then I don't see a problem with your app.

If your willing to listen and pay attention then I don't see a problem with your app. yeah I need to fix some of the fights, for example in H Morchok my raid leader made me be part of the crystal soaks while other melee didn't just because of my AMS. So in some encounters I had to stop DPSing, and run to soak. on the shoulder deal, it's because im in normal mode gear and my helm piece is better than the shoulders in normal mode, so I need the Tier shoulders to complete the 4 piece. Once I get heroic gear then yes, my off tier piece will be the shoulders while having heroic tier helm. I do listen and pay attention. Like I mentioned on my app, I like to have discussions about raiding, gear, strats and the like. |

It saddens me that my app was not considered decent, AFTER ALL THAT EFFORT. If Nasse likes you, then I feel safe not looking over this app at all. GL

Just keep a couple things in mind:
1. Our raid environment is vastly more enjoyable than other endgame guilds but it takes a certain personality type to gel with our group. If you are easily offended by trolling, crude humor, racism, sexism, or getting called out for being shitty, this guild isn't for you. 2. The five day raid schedule is not optional. If you can't make 99.9% of our raid nights then don't waste our time. I only mention this because your current guild has a three day raid schedule and you said that you usually spend Sunday nights with your family. 3. Be prepared to sit the bench. We've had some recent recruits that said in their app that they will sit when asked but then they complained and left when it happened. Nobody likes to sit but the reality is that someone usually must and it's going to fall on the newer players unless a senior player volunteers. Also, we will make an effort to give you an opportunity to show what you can do -- when that happens, show us that you deserve to be in the raid. -------------------- ![]() |

As long as you understand that transferring here is ENTIRELY at your own risk, and if you suck it's your problem, and your money, then we are probably willing to give you a shot.
Perform well and you will have a fine time here, and see raids. Perform poorly and you won't. You can message me in game at some point if you have any further questions, if not let me know when to expect you and we'll see what you can do. -------------------- ![]() |
